Anabrez (Anastrozole) is an oral medication prescribed to treat advanced breast cancer or postmenopausal women who have had surgery to remove early hormone receptor positive breast cancer. The medication slows the growth of tumours and cancer cells allowing other procedures to be performed to remove or eliminate any remaining cancer. Your doctor may prescribe its use for the treatment of other unlisted conditions, as well. How should I use Anabrez (Anastrozole)? Anabrez (Anastrozole) is normally administered once daily at a dosage of one tablet, but your individual instructions will be determined by your doctor based on your age, weight, health condition, and the severity of your symptoms. These should be swallowed whole and unaltered along with a large glass of water.
