What is Pyracezine (Piracetam/Cinnarizine) used for?

Pyracezine is a new combination medicine indicated in the treatment of several cerebrovascular conditions. It contains the nootropic Piracetam and the antihistamine and calcium-channel blocked Cinnarizine. Piracetam and Cinnarizine work in tandem to increase blood flow to the brain and to enhance the metabolic processes in the brain. Pyracezine is also used as a nootropic to enhance cognition and memory.

Pyracezine`s two active ingredients work differently, and their effects potentiate the others effect. Piracetam is a nootropic that enhances metabolic processes in the brain by increasing protein metabolism, utilization of glucose, and resistance to hypoxia. Piracetam also improves interneuronal transmission in the CNS. Cinnarizine increases cerebral blood flow, which increases oxygenation to the brain.

Pyracezine is beneficial in the treatment of any conditions that can benefit from and increases blood flow and oxygen transport to the brain including the following conditions:

Pyracezine is also used by people as a nootropic. The nootropic effect of Piracetam is enhanced by the additional blood flow caused by Cinnarizine.

How should I use Pyracezine (Piracetam/Cinnarizine)?

Pyracezine capsules each contain 400mg of piracetam and 25mg of cinnarizine, Each pack of Pyracezine contains 60 capsules.

Most adults will take one or two capsules three times daily. This will depend on the condition being treated and your medical history. Treatment may last up to a period of up to three months. Children take a similar dosage but only once or twice a day.

If you have or have had renal problems or liver problems, Pyracezine should be used with caution and under medical supervision.

Use with caution and only if advised by your doctor if you are pregnant or breast feeding.

If you are subject to sports doping tests, be aware that Pyracezine can lead to false positive tests.

Vasodilators and antihypertensive agents can increase the effects of Pyracezine. You may need to adjust the dosage accordingly if you are taking any of these.
