What is Imigran (Sumatriptan Succinate) used for? This product is manufactured in Turkey. Imigran (Sumatriptan) is prescribed to treat patients who are suffering from migraines. The medication operates by narrowing blood vessels in the brain to reduce symptoms associated with this condition such as intense pain, photosensitivity, or nausea. How should I use Imigran (Sumatriptan Succinate)? Follow your doctor`s instructions while using Imigran (Sumatriptan) to get the most effective results from treatment. One tablet is normally taken at the first sign of a migraine, but your individual dosage will depend on your health condition and the severity of your symptoms. Swallow the tablets with a full glass of water to aid absorption. It is not recommended to split, crush, or chew these doses before use as this may destroy or alter the effects of their contents. Another dosage may be taken if your symptoms persist, but it is not recommended to exceed 200mg within a twenty-four hour period. Ask your doctor or pharmacist any questions you have about the medicine to ensure the correct administration. What are the side effects of Imigran (Sumatriptan Succinate)? Please Note Do not begin using Imigran (Sumatriptan) if you have a history of strokes, severe hypertension, angina, peripheral vascular disease, recent heart attack, ophthalmoplegic migraine, basilar migraine, hemiplegic migraine, or if you are taking any MAOI medications. Also inform your doctor if you are a postmenopausal woman or have a history of epilepsy, controlled hypertension, risk of heart disease, epilepsy, or an allergy to sulphonamides as these conditions may require adjustments to your dosage to prevent any potential health problems from occurring. Strictly use Imigran (Sumatriptan) as prescribed and follow all instructions provided by your doctor. Safe, suitable, and optimum dosage can vary and is dependent on the patient`s health and medical history, as well as the condition you are treating. Imigran (Sumatriptan) may not be safe or suitable for all patients. Always ensure your doctor is informed if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, using any other type of medication (including non-prescription medicine, vitamins, and supplements), as well as if you have any allergies, other illnesses, or pre-existing medication conditions.
