Apo-Clomipramine (Clomipramine Hydrochloride)
What is Apo-Clomipramine (Clomipramine Hydrochloride) used for? Apo-Clomipramine (Clomipramine Hydrochloride) is a TCA (tricyclic antidepressant) which works for depression, panic disorder and OCD by effecting the transmission of serotonin. Although treatment will not fully get rid of compulsions and persistent obsessive thoughts, it can substantially reduce them, leading to an improved quality of life in patients affected by obsessive compulsive disorder. Experts are not fully sure of all the details related to how achieves its therapeutic benefits, however many medical studies have established a connection between its serotonergic effects and its ability to lessen obsessive compulsive disorder symptoms. Medical research has pointed to potential benefits in the treatment of chronic pain, including peripheral neuropathy and tension headaches. It has been suggested that its benefits in this area may be due to the fact that serotonin in the brain acts as a mediator of pain, and by affecting the serotonin system, it may help to relieve pain. Physicians have used it on its own or in combination with other medicines for this condition. Other studies have taken place which focused on its effects if used for eating disorders, premature ejaculation, premenstrual syndrome, and other conditions not referenced in this paragraph.
